the absurd beauty of latte art

if you've spent time in an artisanal espresso/coffee bar, you've doubtless seen a barista pouring magnificent designs with steamed, foamed milk into their drink creations. this artistry is known as latte art--a really dumb, boring name that doesn't capture the elegance of this aspect of our craft. here's a short video highlighting one aspect of the artistry of this craft.
